Discovering new music, films and exhibitions, cycling, travelling, the coolness of spring mornings, the changing shapes of the sky and clouds, trees and their reflections, the dance of light… Textured stones, the plants I press between the pages of my favourite books, sunrises and sunsets, unique or recurring landscapes, a small cup of coffee and the people I love… All this makes me feel alive and serves as a source of inspiration for my work.
My interest in drawing and creating with different materials began during my childhood, in the games I played alone. These games became my first steps into art and design at high school, and at university they became my career path. I studied painting at Nevid Kodallı Anatolian Fine Arts High School in Mersin and later textile and fashion design at Dokuz Eylül University in İzmir. I have produced works in various fields of art – theatre costume design, book cover design, poster design, illustration and graphic design – and I continue to explore this creative journey.
