I studied Graphic Design at Bilkent University and continued my post-graduate education in Media
and Cultural Studies program at M.E.T.U. Deciding to return to illustration, I applied to and got
accepted to MA and MFA Illustration programs of MICA but sadly couldn’t go. For the last three years,
I’ve been based in Florence, Italy where I keep exploring topics of storytelling, small moments
between friends and big academic discussions in my illustrations. I am inspired by a myriad of things
ranging from the ups and downs of the Expat life, the beauty of Florence, nature, mythology and most
things related to Italy. Although I rely on Procreate for professional illustrations my favourite mediums
are gouache and ink.
